FIRST TEST BUILD RELEASED

Finally I get the first build of volumetrics, as a suggestion download
first the documentation (english or spanish) and the test suite, then the Build:

Linux

Mac leopard (intel) (Thanks Jens!)

Win32 (Thanks Travisdk!)

Mac Power PC (Thanks Chris!)

Win32 SVN for Pentium IV or above (Thanks JMS!)

– …(Check Graphicall)

– or from the sources (2.46) through this clean patch (Thanks again Travisdk!)

and start by opening the .blends to see some nice set ups, Ranging from Procedural
stack of textures, to simple nodes set ups, and image based volumetrics.

There’s still many things that I announced before but where not ready for
test build.

I hope you like it and send me feedbacks please!

Hi, this is a friend from Farsthary: I have created and I am seeding the whole torrent package (sources + things above except the non-linux builds (done after))

seems to be that some people have problems using your patch, so hopefully that can be figured out soon.

  2. Yeah, this is really an achievement, especially when one considers his poor working conditions!:)
@Joel: right, I am not sure about it but it seems that some files have been forgotten during the patch creation. Hopefully he should upload the files in order that somebody produces a fresh patch and so on..

  10. Just amazing. I can’t thank you enough for your efforts. I’m watching images of an entirely different class spill out of a program that I thought I knew pretty well. I’ll pass along any issues I find with the 32bit Linux build.

  15. i hope i’m the only one having this problem, but following the tutorial step by step, the only result i got was a semitransparent cube, textured on the surface… if possible, could anyone post, in simple steps, something that worked for him/her? that way i’ll know exactly where’s the problem.

anticipated thanks, whatever the replies. unfortunately, i can’t give proper thanks because i have no result… 😦

  16. i downloaded the “testing_suite.zip” files and they work, i open them, render, and it works. i can even see the correct preview. shift p also works. now i know i’m missing something. i tried to verify all the settings, textures, rendering, but i have them all the same(!)
the whole situation begins to be downright scary. if anyone can help, please, don’t hesitate…
